ASCENSION A COMMUNITY OF FAITH

At Ascension, we’re on a journey — seeking the ancient ways of Christianity and living them out in the heart of the 21st century.

Long before church became buildings and bulletins, the early followers of Jesus practiced a deeply spiritual, organic, and communal faith. That’s the path we’re returning to.

We believe church isn’t about attending once a week — it’s about belonging, transforming, and walking together in the presence of God. Rooted in prayer, Scripture, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we’re reimagining church in a way that feels authentic, connected, and alive.

Our community is experimental in the best way — open to the Spirit’s leading, centered on deep relationships, and always seeking a more vibrant expression of Christian life.

We welcomes the broken, the seeking, and the overlooked. We build authentic relationships, learn together, worship freely, and do life as one—just like the early church.

Whether you're with us in person or online, you're part of One Community — a faith family shaped by love, openness, and the presence of God.

Our presence extends far beyond one building.

We live out our faith through a network of Oikos Gatherings. The Greek word "oikos" (οἶκος) means "household," or "family”. These are small, relational groups (12–15 people) that meet regularly in homes, digital spaces, and hybrid gatherings. These circles of community are where faith gets real; where stories are shared, prayers are lifted, and lives are transformed.

To foster a safe space, we have clear Standards of Fellowship for everyone participating in our gatherings. Everyone attending in person or virtually is encouraged to read these to understand our mutual expectations.

Our Sunday Sharing Times are hybrid (both in person and online) and open to everyone. We are informal, so come comfortable, grab a drink, and relax.
